BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY: FRENCH SLAVE TRADE AND SLAVERY :

The French slave activity was very hard on the Africans, as the French idea compared to the Americans, French did not have many women in there colonies and plantations, so it was mostly men, whilst the Americans had families in the plantations and encourage slave breeding thus developed internal Slave Trade in most of there states, whilst the French had to go to Africa for more and more slaves to replaced the slaves that have been over worked to death. If one look at the French record for slaves shipped in the Atlantic slave triangle were slaves were shipped from the African coast to the New World and the West Indies, then across to Europe and back to the African Coast, saw the French ships loading up to 396 Black slaves on each ship heading for the French Colonies in the New World.
