BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : WHY DID AFRICAN KINGS, QUEENS, CHIEFS, MERCHANTS SELL OTHER AFRICANS TO WHITE SLAVE TRADERS :

The reasons why African Rulers, Merchant and Decision Makers sell there people, fellow Africans and slaves captured in wars to Europeans when it was so immoral and obviously harmful is in fact a central problem and one that has to be addressed seriously and its the same issues and problem why Europeans did  the buying and transporting of slaves.  The Emperor of Mali Mansa Musa and the King of Songhai whose capital was Timbuktu, these African Kingdoms and Merchants entered into trade that was so disadvantageous to Africa and its inhabitants. Slavery was endemic in Africa before the arrival of the Europeans so when the demand for slaves increased in Europe it quickly led to the development of organized Slave Trade.

There is no doubt that Europeans were not capable of venturing inland to capture the millions of people who were transported from Africa. In areas were slavery was not practice such as among the Xhosa people of Southern Africa, European Captains were unable to buy slaves, but in West Africa, East Africa and Central Africa were slavery and war was an ancient practice the rulers sold Black People as slaves to European ship Captains.
