BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY An extraordinary beauty, Bobbi Jo exploded onto the modelling scene as a lead in the Young Buck music video for the single “I know U Want Me,” featuring Jazze Pha. As a model/actress, she has since been recognized by artists and casting directors as a woman who definitely stands out above the rest. Since appearing in the video, it has been a non-stop grind for this charismatic, blue-eyed beauty, who has since been spotlighted in magazines such as , Essence and Ebony Magazine, King Magazine, XXL Magazine, Source Magazine, and Black Men Magazine, modelling Gucci and Saks Fifth Avenue with Trey Songz. Known as the face for Coogi Clothing’s Women’s Line re-launch since 2008 Bobbi has also been in music videos for Wyclef, Wiz Khalifa, JCole, Elle Varner, Lloyd Banks, Ray J, and Prodigy of Mob Deep. She’s received especially large notoriety for her role as 50 Cent’s Baby Mother in his video “I Get Money,” and her role as a Matrix Fighter in his “Ok, You’re Right” video.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York by a single mother, Bobbi had to grow up quickly and learn how to take care of herself at an early age. Spending 12 years of her youth in foster care, she moved around a lot during her younger years. It is particularly because of her rough upbringing that she strives to succeed in whatever she does. At the same time, she refuses to compromise her integrity and her standards. With a Bachelors Degree in Media and Communication from SUNY College at Old Westbury in Long Island, NY, Bobbi Jo definitely believes that education is just as important as being noticed in the entertainment industry.
In a business where many models are willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead, Bobbi Jo insists that one must be selective in choosing ljobs. There have been several instances where she has been offered a project, but has chosen to politely decline because the material wasn’t complimentary to her image. “It is important to see the bigger picture,” she states.
When all is said and done, Bobbi Jo’s main objective, in addition to advancing her budding acting career, is to obtain more major make-up , hair product, clothing line ambassador positions. Under her belt she currently has a lead role as “Denise” in the Spike Lee directed 10th Anniversary Rocawear commercial, along with a lead role in The JBS Prive “Urban Beauty Hair” commercial which aired on a variety of major television networks, including ABC, NBC, FOX, CW, and Comcast affiliates ranging from BET, MTV, VH-1, BRAVO and Entertainment Television.
You may have seen Bobbi Jo as Rip the Runway’s First Professional Winner of BET's Model Mission Show, or caught her feature in “Notorious”. Bobbi’s compassion is what stands out most about her. She hopes to one day play a major role in changing the lives of foster care children by investing time in her community, and being a positive female role model for younger girls who have similar goals.
Bobbi Jo's in “Sex in the City 2”, “Wall Street 2”, and as the face of OutrĂ© Hair Line’s hair national campaign. Most recently Bobbi J is in Seagram's Gin 2011 Calendar as Miss June. She is the Face of Outre Hair Line 2011 National Calendar and also featured in the calendar for the month of September. Currently Bobbi Jo is modelling for KISS Cosmetics “Ruby Kisses”, having a Back Cover ad in Upscale Magazine. She debuted her comedic acting skills in a Parody for Eminem and Rihanna's "Love the Way you lie” video while working with The Key of Awesome which received over 40 Million views on YouTube . She currently has a credited featured in the Movie "The Perfect Age of Rock n Roll" on theaters and currently on Video on Demand. Most recently Bobbi Jo landed a principal role in a National Gillette Commercial currently airing daily on ESPN and BET amongst several other stations.
