She later performed alongside Pierce Brosnan,

Woody Harrelson and Salma Hayek in 2004's After the Sunset. She went on to co-star with Johnny Depp in the blockbusterPirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), reuniting with Depp the following year for 2007's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. More recently, Harris starred as Daniel Craig's love interest in Skyfall (2012), a film of the James Bond franchise directed by Sam Mendes. Additionally, she has appeared on television in various roles

Early Life

Actress Naomie Melanie Harris was born on September 6, 1976, in London, England, and raised by single mother Lisselle Kayla, a Jamaican immigrant. Harris began acting at a young age, performing in several stage productions while attending the Anna Scher Theatre School in North London, and later enrolled at the University of Cambridge's Pembroke College. After graduating from Cambridge in 1989, she began taking acting courses at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in South West England.
From the late 1980s to the early 2000s, Harris appeared on television in various roles, including on the shows Runaway Bay and The Tomorrow People. Though many of these early TV roles were small, they garnered acclaim for the actress and exposed her to Hollywood producers. (She continues to play roles on TV.)

Film Career



























































































Harris's big break as a film actress came when she was cast in the feature film 28 Days Later (2002), directed by British film maker Danny Boyle. She later earned a part alongside Pierce Brosnan,Woody Harrelson and Salma Hayek in the Brett Ratner film After the Sunset (2004), followed by the role of Tia Dalma in the 2006 blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Harris reunited with Depp for the follow-up in 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
Several years later, in 2012, Harris appeared in her biggest film role yet: Playing Field Agent Eve, the love interest of James Bond (Daniel Craig), in the blockbuster Sky fall. Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall—the 27th installment of the James Bond franchise—met with a great amount of success upon its release in November 2012, earning nearly $90 million in its opening weekend.
