International career

In September 2013, 'Tuffy' was called up to the Jamaican national team for two crucial FIFA World Cup games against Panama and Costa Rica by coach Jamaican national team Winfried Schäfer amid widespread calls for inclusion in the squad. Tuffy joined the team in the match against Panama after 70 minutes during which the crowd continuously chanting his name for him to play until the coach complied. Tuffy came on field and scored the only goal for Jamaica against Costa Rica in stoppage time to salvage a point and give Jamaica a chance to qualify for the World Cup possible mathematically.
