TE Milan Richard of Savannah revealed Sunday night he will make his college decision June 4th. Richard is down to a final four of Clemson, USC, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. Clemson is believed to be in strong shape with Richard, the nephew of former Georgia star Herschel Walker. USC landed a commitment last week from TE Kalan Ritchie and currently leads for TE KC Crosby. But Richard remains interested nontheless and will take an unofficial visit to USC this Saturday.

Alabama Monday offered DL Dexter Wideman of Saluda. That’s his 7^th offer. The others are USC, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, Florida and Ole Miss.

DB Corey Seargent of Northwestern picked up offers today from Ball State and Charlotte.

Byrnes QB Shuler Bentley committed Monday to Old Dominion. Last season Bentley passed for 4700 yards and 59 touchdowns.

2015 DE Rasool Clemens of South Aiken was offered today by Virginia. That’s his first offer.

USC quarterbacks coach GA Mangus, who handles all of the quarterback recruiting for the Gamecocks, has a pretty good track record of landing his top targets. In fact, he’s been pretty much perfect over his years in Columbia. But that record will be tested this Friday when Drew Barker of Hebron, KY makes his announcement. Barker is choosing between USC, Kentucky and Tennessee. Mangus was one of the first to offer Barker, and he’s the only quarterback he’s been recruiting for the 2014 class. Barker has said nothing but good things about Mangus and USC over the months and has always had the Gamecocks high on his list. But first year Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has made Barker an absolute priority, something that was not the case when Joker Phillips was coach. According to a story in Saturday’s Lexington, KY Herald-Leader, the Wildcat coaching staff sent Barker over 100 handwritten cards and letters on two different days, one last month and one this month. Barker has made multiple visits to UK including spending a weekend there for the spring game. And the Wildcat coaches are selling him on the idea of staying home and becoming the local hero much like Tim Couch, Jared Lorenzen and Andre Woodson. “When I was down in Lexington they made that a big point,” Barker told the Lexington paper. “They had a video that showed all those guys from Kentucky who’d been quarterback, and then my highlight clips were in there with them. I liked that.” But if he’s going down, Mangus is not going down without a fight. He had a very good visit with Barker in late April and he plans to make one more visit this week. At 3:30 PM Friday, Barker will become either be the toast of the Bluegrass State or just the latest major talent from the Commonwealth to decide to play where football rules.

Stratford QB Jacob Park looked over an offer list numbering 27 and cut it down to a final ten schools he will consider into the early part of Summer. Those final ten are Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Notre Dame, Louisville, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, NC State, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State. “He’s not looking for a place where there are no quarterbacks,” said Stratford coach Ray Stackley. “He’s looking for a place where he’s real comfortable with the staff, where he will be coached hard. It’s who do I feel most comfortable with from a coaching standpoint and personal standpoint.” Alabama was back for a second visit last week. Louisville, Georgia, Florida State and NC State also have been in. Park plans to take five visits in June then make his decision in mid to late June. Right now, according to his coach, those visits likely will be to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, NC State and Virginia Tech. After those visits Park will have visited each of his finalists at least once. As for Clemson and USC, the Tigers tried to get more involved about a month ago but ceased their involvement after DeShaun Watson firmed up his commitment. And USC never showed any serious interest.

RB Nick Chubb of Cedartown, GA will announce his college decision May 28th. He has narrowed his list to USC, Georgia and Auburn with no leader. “I want to go somewhere that I will feel comfortable for the next four years,” said Chubb. Each school has been by to see Chubb this spring. “Coach (G.A.) Mangus came by sometime last week,” he said. “They’re just telling me they like the way I run the ball and they want me to come there.” Chubb will visit his final three one more time before making a decision. USC’s visit could come next weekend but that has yet to be determined. “I want to go to all three and get all my final questions answered,” said Chubb. “I’ve only set a date for Auburn so far…it’s like May 26th or 27th.” That will be his final visit.

USC Friday offered junior WR Dexter Neal (6-3 195) of Stone Mountain, GA, and Neal says he plans on committing to the Gamecocks at some point. After getting his offer, Neal took to his Twitter page and wrote about his plans:
