Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Errol Mowatt,

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Deputy Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Errol Mowatt, has been appointed to the rank of Commissioner effective October 7.

The new commissioner has served the fire brigade in various capacities since 1995, a release from the organisation Monday said.

Mowatt attended various command and management courses and is also a graduate of the Fire Service College, United Kingdom where he successfully completed both the International Command and the Brigade Command Courses, the release said.

Commissioner Mowatt succeeds former Commissioner Laurie A Williams who retired in June.
