Luis Edmundo Pereira ( Juazeiro , 21 of June of 1949 ) is a former footballer Brazilian who played as a central defender. It is considered the second biggest defender in the history of Brazilian football, behind only of Sundays the father Guide Ademir da Guia one of the greatest idols of Palmeiras , with decisive partipação the team's achievements at the time of the " Academy ".

With 35 goals, he is the defender who scored more goals with Palmeiras shirt.
It is considered the 37th (thirtieth) player of the twentieth century South American football, the International Federation of Football History and Statistics ( IFFHS ), among these, the best central defender in Brazil. [ 1 ]

In World Cup 1974 [ 2 ] was the first Brazilian player to be sent off with a red card in the World Cup history, the defeat of Brazil to the Netherlands by 2-0, by violent entry Dutchman Neeskens .
