BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY: BLACK PRESENCE IN THE BRITISH MILITARY: WE WERE THEIR ALWAYS !!!!!!!

Black people have been in the British Military going back centuries, but we will look at specific battles and later on the general role of Black in the British Forces. Lets take the second world war, where the highest ranking Black Man in the British Forces was Squadron Leader Ulric Cross who fought with bravery and skills be fitting any British Pilot during the Second World War. you wont find him in many books or the British History Book of the Second World War. 16,000 West Indian troops served in world war one  (1914 - 1918 ) but at the end of the war and the way they were treated, men like Trinidadian  Leader Ciprisani  and Jamaican  Michael Manley were both in World War 1 these men  got involved in politics.

After the first world war, England 1919 Black Men in uniform and Black Civilians  are attack by gangs of white people in Liverpool and Cardiff. The whites were able to kill Black People at random, burn their homes, houses, restaurants and hostels down.  In Liverpool Banners are hung up stating  " GET BACK TO YOUR KENNELS YOU DAM DOG OF A NIGGER " . their is a specific case were a black man was chased down the street that led to the docks and the poor man jump into the docks water and drowned.
