Ataulfo Alves de Sousa (MiraÃ, 2 of May of 1909 - Rio de Janeiro, 20 of April of 1969 [1]) was a composer and singer of sambaBrazilian, one of seven children of a guitarist, accordionist and repentista the Forest Zone called "Captain" Severino.
Biography
At eight years old, he was already writing verses. Was dairy, driver of oxen, baggage handler, errand boy, shoeshine, carpenterand farmer, while he attended school. At ten years old, she lost her father and her mother was with her children, living in centralMiraà .
At eighteen, he settled in Rio de Janeiro following a doctor for which he worked day and night as a pharmacy assistant. At nineteen he played guitar, ukulele and mandolin. He married Judith, coming the couple have five children.
