Bethel AME Church will host a month long celebration to honor the leadership legacy of Dr. Frank M. Reid III, who, with more than 25 years served, has broken the record of tenure for Bethel pastors.
Dr. Reid is highly esteemed as a pastor, teacher, leader and civic servant, and continues to lead the congregation with innovative partnerships including schools and underserved communities.   Most recently, Dr. Reid partnered with community leaders and developers in revitalizing the Bethel Community Outreach Center.  He is sensitive to and on the cutting edge of ministry beyond the walls of Bethel to the community.  This year he hosted a town hall meeting with the city leaders and officials to address arresting the tide of violence plaguing Baltimore with tangible plans to follow up with resolutions.
As a preacher, Dr. Reid is recognized universally for his clear and relevant articulation of the gospel.  He is sought after throughout the world to bring clarity and guidance through the word of God. He hosts Radio One’s number 1 gospel broadcast, Sunday Morning Joy, 8 a.m. – noon every Sunday.  The broadcast features Dr. Reid’s timely inspirational excerpts that inspire and inform a vast listening audience.
With a long history of service, Dr. Reid announced his aspirations for the Episcopacy in the AME Church and gained the support of the Baltimore Annual Conference and leaders.  He will seek election for Episcopal office at the 2016 General Conference.BCCDr Frank Reid cutout please
