BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY: BLACKS WHO FOUGHT IN THE KOREA WAR 1950 TO 1953 : BLACK CONTRIBUTION TO WORLD HISTORY, WE WERE THEIR.

When the Korea War broke out in 1950 with the invasion of South Korea by the North Korea Red Army, this was met with American power as delegated by the United Nation to defend South Korea with a joint United Nation Forces sent to take on the North Korea Red Army.  The United States Armed Forces was a very segregated Army, with white units remaining all white and the black units remaining all black. One of the Famous Black unit which was established in 1869 was sent out to fight in the Korea war, in all 600,000 African American service men fought in the Korea War and 5000 African American died in the war.

Ensign Jesse L. Brown U.S. Navy was the first African American Black Naval Aviator to die in combat and Second Lieutenant Frank E. Peterson Jr was the first Black Marine Crop Pilot, he flew 64 combat mission  before the end of the war and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and six Air Medals in the Korea War.
In 1950 the Air Force had 25 Black Pilots in integrated fighter squadrons led by Captain Daniel " Chappie" James Jr:  James flew 101 combat missions in Korea earned the Distinguished Flying Cross.







































In October 1951 the all Black 25th Infantry Regiment, a unit that was established in 1869 which had served in the Spanish- American War, The First World War and The Second World War and the beginning of the  Korea War, was disbanded essentially ending Segregation in the United States Armed Forces.Black Service Men that held Command Position were posted to elite units such as combat aviation and served in a variety of technical, military specialities.
