BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : AFRICAN KINGS AND CHIEFS AND THE ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE : BLACK S WHO SOLD BLACKS INTO SLAVERY :

Before the 16th century, Europeans were not interested in the slave trade in West African coast, there was some movement in African labor to Madeira and the Canary Islands by the early Portuguese explorers from 1470 onwards. The Portuguese were also the the first to use African slave labor in gold mines and sugar plantations on the small Island of Sao Tome. These plantation became the model for sugar estates in the West Indies. African export at this time includes gold, palm oil, nuts, yams, pepper, Ivory, gum and cloth.

SLAVES FOR GUN :

West African Chiefs were instrumental in the slave trade, they exchange prisoners of war ( rarely there own people) for  fire arms manufactured  in Birmingham and else where in Britain. With there newly acquired weapons, Kings and Chiefs were able to expand there territories. The slave trade had a profound effect on the econoy and politics of West Africa leading in many cases to an increase in tension and violence.

  1. We have failed to discuss some of the real issues about the Vile evil Slave Trade that has been blamed on White People for donkey years now. Its not as simple as it seem " If Black People Did Not Sell Black People" " There would not have been an Atlantic Slave Trade " The real criminals are the African Kings, Queens and Chiefs who enslave other Black People to be sold to white slave traders. There Crime Against Humanity must be judge by a United Nation Criminal Court even in there absence and should give a judgement on there criminal activities over the past centuries.
