                       BLACK                  SOCIAL           HISTORY                                                                                                                                                                                                         Ha'Sean "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix (born December 21, 1992) is an American football safety for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Alabama. He was considered one of the best safeties in his class, with excellent coverage and play making ability.

High school career

A native of Orlando, Florida, Clinton-Dix attended Edge water High School for his freshman and sophomore years, where he played running back and was teammates with Mike Brewster. Before his junior season, he transferred to Dr. Phillips High School, where he was an All-American defensive back and kick returner, and teammates with Dee Hart. Regarded as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Clinton-Dix was ranked as the No. 1 defensive back in his class.[1]

College career

Clinton-Dix was one of seven true freshmen that had playing time in 2011 at Alabama. In 2012, he led the team with five interceptions and made seven tackles against Notre Dame in the championship game, one tackle less than C. J. Mosley.
On October 3, 2013, Alabama announced that Clinton-Dix had been suspended indefinitely for unspecified team rules violations.[2] He was reinstated after a 2-game suspension.[3]
On December 2, 2013, Clinton-Dix underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. He finished his junior year with 46 tackles and 2 interceptions. As a junior in 2013, Clinton-Dix was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection.[4] After the season, he decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.[5]

Clinton-Dix was selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 21st pick of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.[8]

Personal life

As a child, Ha'Sean's grandmother nicknamed him "HaHa". According to Clinton-Dix, not only do his coaches love the name, but he loves it also.[9]
