BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : BLACK HEROES WHO FACE THE MIGHT OF EVIL AND TRIUMPH - ETHIOPIAN MAJOR GENERAL JAGAMA KELLO A BLACK HERO : GOES INTO THE " HALL OF BLACK HEROES "

                              BLACK                    SOCIAL               HISTORY                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  On the night of Sept 5th, 2010 the 3rd annual event to honor and celebrate Ethiopian Heroes was held successfully with hundreds of Ethiopians in attendance. Present at the event and honorees for this year were Lt. General Jagama Kello, one of the greatest Ethiopian patriots and heroes who led the Ethiopian resistance during the Italian fascist occupation, Captain Mamo Habtewold, the Internationally renowned hero who fought during the Korean war and recipient of the highest order of medal for heroism from a host of countries, including USA’s Silver Medal. A post humus recognition and celebration of the heroic deeds and contributions of both Maj. Generals Fanta Belay and Amaha Desta, commanders of the former Ethiopian Air force, was held in the presence of Mr. Belay Fanta Belay, Mrs. Tigist Amaha Desta and several other family members of scores of Ethiopian heroes and patriots. The organizing committee will release a full report.
