BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY: BLACK PEOPLE IN THE AFGHANISTAN WAR:

In 1973 the King Of Afghanistan was over thrown and a Republic was declared by a prominent member of his own family, Daoud who installed a Socialist Government with the full support of the USSR. The years of conflict have arrived, after years of war the population was internally displaced or had become refugees in Iran, Pakistan and Iraq or further afield in Europe and the US. By 1989 the USSR Army was forced to leave, the was continued as the Mujaheddin attempted to overthrow the Communist Government. After three years of fighting the Communist Government fell.

Out of this emerged the Taliban a strong  political and religious force in the south. By 1996 the Taliban have taken over Kabul and introduced a strict Sharia Law,  within a year they have taken control of the whole country. 9/11  saw Bin Laden and Al-Qaida has attacked the twin towers in New York and the War On Terror commence with the US all out invasion of Afghanistan and then NATO took full control of the military operation in Afghanistan and the war has gone on ever since.
