                   BLACK                 SOCIAL             HISTORY                                                                                                                                                                                                             Ryan Shazier (born September 6, 1992) is an American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ohio State.

College career

As a true freshman in 2011, Shazier started 3 of 13 games, recording 58 tackles and three sacks. As a sophomore in 2012, he started all 12 games, recording 115 tackles and five sacks. As a junior in 2013, he started all 14 games, recording 144 tackles and 6 sacks. Shazier was named an All-American.

Professional career

2014 NFL Draft

Shazier announced on January 5, 2014 that he would forgo his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.[1] He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the 15th pick of the first round.[2]
