BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : BLACK ACTORS AND ACTRESSES IN THE MOVIE WORLD :

To begin with Black People in the world of Acting and Film world is the same as the American world of Segregation were by Blacks can be seen but only in the back ground, were you cannot be notice and you cant be notice, no speaking  parts  in silent movies, acting the stupid servant, with stoop shoulders and dragging their feet with "Yes Sir Master!!!!! " its the plantation syndrome all over again after the Civil Wars. But then as we fought so hard to gain our freedom, we start the fight again to break the barriers down that was keeping us in the back woods. African American like Sidney Poitier and Ruby Dee fought like tigers in the 1960's to break the glass wall down so other Black Actors can get through the door.

Sidney Poitier - the first Black Actor to win ac Oscar. He was born actor even though he had little formal education .
Denzal Washington -  was born on December 16th 1954 in Mount Vernon, New York.

Morgan Freeman  -  Born on June 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic  between 1955 to 1959. One of Americas Best.

Samuel L Jackson  -  One of Americas top African American Actor, nominated for an Oscar for his part in "Pulp Fiction"

James Earl Jones  -  was born on January 7th 1931 in Abutting, Mississippi, USA. Nominated for an Oscar in his role in  " The Great White Hope "

Ruby Dee  -  is the wife of Ossie Davis, during the 1960's Ruby along with Sidney Poitier  appeared in films that helped paved the way for African American Actors.

Don Cheadle  -  was born in Kansans City, this Dude earned a B.A. in Fine Arts. He first became recognized in "Devil in a Blue Dress"

Forest Whitaker  -  Born in Long view, Texas on July 15th 1961  he won an Oscar for playing The Uganda Dictator Idi Amin in 2006 film.

Will Smith  -   He grew up in Wynnefield West Philadelphia. He has received Oscars Nominations for playing Muhammad Ali, and "In Pursuit of Happiness"
