BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : A BLACK MAN FIGHT TO BREAK THE STRANGLE HOLD ON THERE LIVES. OSCAR DEVEREAUX MICHEAUX A TIME LINE IMAGES ON AN AFRICAN AMERICAN PIONEER IN THE FILM WORLD :

In a world in the turn of the 19th century into the 20th century when every social oppression is stack against African American from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes it was a virtual close shop for any aspiring black to break into the making of films in those dark days. but Oscar Micheaux started life on the left foot, by moving to live with his brother who had a cool shifting life style. Oscar did not lie his lie style and moved out to rent his own place, he got a job as a stock man but found it very hard and moved to several different stock yards  but it was always the same very hard work. Eventually he decided to start his own business as  shoe shine boy in a white area to stop competition from other shoe shine operators. This Dude save a lot of money as he work very hard.

Later on he was to become a Pullman Porter, a well paid job, a very prestigious job for African American in those days. They were the top dog in this jobs in those day, he was able to save a lot of money and by the time he finish this job he has seen most of North America , made valuable contacts with white people who will help him later in life in his business enterprise. When he finish work with Pullman as a Porter, he bought a farm to start work as a home steadier, all his farm neighbor were white but he work hard to develop the home stead. He met a lady and was married but he was not a family man as he was away a lot even when there first child was born he was away on business. By the time he came back his wife has empty his bank account and fled. His father in law sold his farm and ran off with the money. This was the spur for him to write is first book.
