BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : DWAIN CHAMBERS - DRUG CHEAT : INTO THE " HALL OF DISGRACE " AS INVENTED BY GEORGE ELEADY-COLE :












































Dwain Chambers born 5th April 1978, is a Black British track sprinter, he won international medals at world and European level and is one of the fastest European sprinters in the history of athletics. His primary event is the 100metres in which he had the second  fastest time by any British sprinter. He is the European recorder holder for the 60 meters and 4 x 100 meters relay events with .42 seconds and 77.73 respectively. He received a two year athletics Ban in 2003 after testing positive for THG a banned performance Enhancing Drug. Chambers ran a 100m world junior record of 10.06s in 1997 and became the youngest medalist in the event at the 1999 world championships taking a bronze.



On his Olympic debut at the 2000 Sydney Olympics he was the best European performer in fourth place. He broke the 10s barrier twice at the 2001 world championship. He began using performance enhancing drugs in 2002 and he was later stripped of the 100m European title and record he achieved that year. Chambers returned to competition in June 200 and won gold with his team mates in the 4x100m at the 200 European championship. He tried other sports including a spell with Hamburg Sea Devils of the NFL Europa League and a Rugby League trial with Castle ford. Sprinting success came over 60m when he won silver at the 2008world indoor championship, gold at the 2009 European indoor and became world champion gold at the 2009 European indoor and champion at 2010.
