BLACK SOCIAL HISTORY : TIME LINE IMAGES ON SLAVERY IN MAURITANIA THE LAST SLAVE TRADE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD :

The state of Mauritanian is the only county in the world were slave trade and slavery is still wide spread among its people. This is a divided country with Arab people and African live within the same boundaries of a state and one is the slave owner and the other is the slave. Even though the state have pass laws to ban the practice of slavery it has not been in the forefront of enforcing the law to stop the practice among the people. The Arabs in charge of the Government and in power have for centuries owned Black Slaves as part of the traditional culture and its a nightmare to try and break centuries of tradition in a country were most of the population are not educated.

United Nation and Ant-Slavery Organizations have been trying with slow advance in trying to educate  the people to stop this nation wide slavery. Because of the isolation of some of the of some of the population in the far parts of the Shara Desert, the line of communication about slavery just does not get to these isolated people. The effort required by the state with international support is a task that require massive support from every anti-slavery organization and Western Government to help end this slavery in the twenty first century.
